Nick read out the last meetings notes.
1. Fundraising: • Race Night in February (date to be confirmed) – upstairs at the Club, to raise funds for a defibrillator for the building. • Putting a collection tin on the coffee bar - to collect loose change
2. Activities List - here is a the list of what we discussed: • Swimming – will continue every Tuesday from next week, if there are enough members • Football training Fridays @ Redcar Academy - new members welcome • Hands & Oils - Holistic Therapies – starting shortly • Healthy Eating (shop, prepare, cook & eat) 3 evenings per week & Saturdays • Relationship workshops ongoing • Travel experience - 2 people each week learning how to use public transport. Going to be different nights each week. • Stay Up Late disco - 27th Jan. – No theme this time • Line Dancing - no start date yet. Maybe we’ll do Zumba while we find a line dancing teacher. • Basic English & Maths (with Peter) • WISH Tokens – Please bring them in NOW for the Club as no more will be printed. • Weekend Break - looking into a National Holiday break. Group thought this was a great idea.

1. Fundraising:
• Race Night in February – upstairs at the Club, to raise funds for a defibrillator for the building. It raised £699.50 plus £110 from the Coffee Bar. £1000 TARGET to reach.
• Putting a collection tin on the coffee bar - to collect loose change??
• Tesco support: Easter Eggs donated, food for the café once a month & sports water bottles for football team.
2. Activities List - here is a the list of what we discussed:
• Swimming – will continue every Tuesday from next week, if there are enough members
• Football training Fridays @ Redcar Academy - new members welcome
• Hands & Oils - Holistic Therapies – coming into Club every week.
• Healthy Eating (shop, prepare, cook & eat) 3 evenings per week & Saturdays
• Women's Workshop on Fridays
• Travel experience - 4 people each week learning how to use public transport. Going to be different nights each week.
• Stay Up Late disco - 31st March – Football tops theme
• Line Dancing - no start date yet. Maybe we’ll do Zumba while we find a line dancing teacher.
• Basic English & Maths
• WISH Tokens – £153.54 raised
• NEW: Health & hygiene workshop planned.
• NEW: Knitting on a Friday.
• NEW: Cross Stitch and rug making on a Tuesday
• Ideas: Another Grenfell’s Got Talent and Pool Tournament
• Break up - Thursday 13th April return Tuesday 2nd May
• Weekend Break - looking into a National Holiday break. Group thought this was a great idea.

  • Swimming will continue every Tuesday from next week, if there are enough members
  • Football training Mondays at Redcar College - new members welcome
  • Hands & Oils - Holistic Therapies are coming into the Club every week.
  • Healthy Eating (shop, prepare, cook & eat) 3 evenings per week & Saturdays
  • Travel experience - 4 people each week learning how to use public transport.  Going to be different nights each week.
  • Stay Up Late disco -  26th May, Fancy Dress & in July disco with BBQ
  • Line Dancing - no start date yet. Nick to look into it.
  • Basic English & Maths (with Peter)
  • Health & hygiene workshop planned.
  • Knitting on a Friday coming up with Anita
  • Cross Stitch and rug making with Lesley on Friday
  • Ideas: Another Grenfell's Got Talent and Pool Tournament, calendars, Christmas choir
  • Weekend Break - looking into a National Holiday break. Group thought this was a great idea. Savings group suggested.

  • Day trips in September on a Sunday this year, Vote on ideas, Suggestions included Holmfirth, Scarborough, Whitby, York, Flamingoland, Goathland, Emmerdale, Bronte Country.

* Defibrillator for the building has now been bought and is situated in reception.
* Summer Ball @ the Corus Club raised £700
* Possible Bag Pack
2. Tuesday minibus – up to 12 members are brought to the Club via the bus
3. Activities List - here is a the list of what we discussed:
* Swimming – will continue every Tuesday
* Football training on Mondays @ Redcar College sports hall - new members welcome
* Healthy Eating (shop, prepare, cook & eat) 3 evenings per week & Saturdays – doing well.
* Travel experience - 4 people each week learning how to use public transport. Going to be a different night each week.
* Stay Up Late disco - these are still going well. There isn’t one this month, but there will be a Halloween Disco 27.10.17, just before we break for a weeks holiday. We return on Monday 6th Nov.
* Dancing with Estelle for 6 weeks every Tuesday
* Basic English & Maths (with Peter) – on a break
* Health & hygiene workshop planned.
* Knitting on Fridays with Anita
* Cross Stitch and rug making with Lesley on Fridays
* Drumming on a Monday
* Arts & crafts - Mural on staircase wall with Adam on Fridays
* Weekend Break - looking into a National Holiday break. Group thought this was a great idea. Savings group suggested.
* A member suggested a Christmas shopping trip to Newcastle (possibly Sunday 10th Dec)
* Day trips in September – 24th Sept. Teenagers go to the Centre for Life

* Healthy Eating (shop, prepare, cook & eat) 3 evenings per week & Saturdays – doing well.
* Travel experience - 4 people each week learning how to use public transport. Going to be a different night each week.
* Stay Up Late disco - these are still going well. Next one Tuesday 28th November 2017. Christmas Jumper theme.
* Dancing with Estelle for 6 weeks every Tuesday until Christmas
* Basic English & Maths (with Peter) – on a break. Back after Christmas
* Health & hygiene workshop planned.
* Knitting on Fridays with Anita
* Cross Stitch and rug making on Fridays with Lesley. Rug now complete.
* Drumming on a Monday – having a break
* Arts & crafts - Mural on staircase wall with Adam on Fridays. Will finish this weekend.

* Race Night (possibly May/June 2018)
* Band, Shiver 16th March @ the Corus Club (raffle prizes required)
* Football Card last week
* Sponsored Walk July / August
We will try to do a fundraising event or Stay Up Late event each month

* Swimming – will continue every Tuesday (if 4 swimmers or more)
* Football training on Mondays @ Redcar College sports hall - new members welcome. The numbers are rising.
* Healthy Eating (shop, prepare, cook & eat) 3 evenings per week & Saturdays – doing well.
* Stay Up Late disco - these are still going well. Next one planned for Tuesday 2nd March 50p. There will be a donation to dress up and the theme will be pyjamas!
* Dancing with Estelle for 6 weeks every Tuesday until Easter.
* Basic English & Maths (with Peter) – on a break. Starting in 2 weeks’ time.
* Health & hygiene workshop planned.
* Knitting on Fridays with Anita
* Arts & crafts - Mural on staircase wall with Adam (now complete). Adam working with Juniors.
* Weekend Break - looking into a National Holiday break. Group thought this was a great idea. Savings group suggested.
* Members meal on 9th Jan 2018 at Central Park went well.

* Swimming – will continue every Tuesday if there are5 swimmers or more.
* Football training on Mondays @ Redcar College sports hall. The numbers are rising (around 8), but could do with more.
* Healthy Eating (shop, prepare, cook & eat) 3 evenings per week & Saturdays – doing well.
* Stay Up Late disco - these are still going well. Next one planned for Tuesday 2nd March 50p. There will be a donation to dress up and the theme will be pyjamas!
* Dancing with Estelle for 6 weeks every Tuesday just finished.
* Basic English & Maths (with Peter) – on a break. Starts after Easter
* Health & hygiene workshop planned.
* Knitting on Fridays with Anita. She is making a very large Grenfell star made from Pom Pom’s.
* Reception training  and Coffee Bar Training. There is a waiting list for both of these.
* Josh suggested members learn the Ukulele. Nick to contact local club.
* Festival of Thrift Parade (Friday 21st Sept). Members keen to take part.
* Weekend Break - looking into a National Holiday break. Group thought this was a great idea. Savings group suggested again by members.
* Trips for August or September being looked at.
