Junior & Teenage Sections

The Grenfell Junior Section runs every Wednesday for children aged between 5-13 years old.

This evening session is planned each term. These are usually but not predominately, educationally based activities, such as healthy eating, local environment, staying safe, and the emergency services. The junior members meet once a month with the Junior Sections Leader-in-Charge Sam Jones, to request activities. Forth coming sessions include, scary mask making, Halloween fancy dress disco, pizza making, a jazz band show, ice hockey, bowling, and mass arts and crafts.

The section also provides summer sessions which usually include day trips. This year we had a great day at Flamingo Land and last year we had an equally good time at Beamish Open Air Museum. Although the Junior Section is centre based, we do try and have sessions outside the Club such as Pinchinthorpe Woods, where we went pond dipping and tried a chain walk, which again was great fun. During the summer we often have sessions planned at our local park or beach.

During the Wednesday session we have a break time at 7pm, so the children can have a drink and a biscuit. We also encourage siblings to come along to try a couple of our sessions.   Opening Times:  6 - 8 pm (5-13 year old).  Leader - Sam Jones

The Teenage Section:

The Grenfell Teenage Section runs every Thursday for young people aged between 13-19 years old.

It is open between 6 - 8pm and the leader is Sam Jones
